Thanks to graduates from the School of Management for sharing a moment of their day with us:

  • Usman Kadiri graduated with an MSc in Advanced Management Practice. He said: “The ceremony was brilliant. It was the first one for me as I didn’t go to my undergraduate ceremony. I’ve come with my mum and it’s been a great occasion." Usman is planning to start a career in marketing and public relations.

He said of Bath: “It’s been amazing, a truly special place. It’s a great city, and very historic. It’s definitely a place that sticks in the memory and one that I hope to come back to many times.”

  • Graduates in our MSc in International Management, Thanita, Haruethai and Pariya were enjoying celebrations with their families who had travelled from Thailand for the occasion. They were excited to be in the Georgian surroundings of the Bath Assembly Rooms. Thanita, who will be returning to Thailand to become assistant to the Chief Executive of a major department store, said: “I’ve had a very good time in Bath and I’ve been very happy. It’s a nice place to live and study.”

  • Ayo Ajijedidun was enjoying being back in Bath for a few days, having returned to his home in Ireland after completing his MSc in International Management. He commented after his graduation: “I came to Bath as a student for the first time not knowing anything about the city and threw myself in at the deep end but I’ve loved it. It’s a great city and it’s been a great year. The ceremony was good and it was lovely to be in the Assembly Rooms.”

Ayo is working on pitches for start-up business ideas.

  • Melissa Paulus, from India, was joined by family and friends to see her graduate with an MSc in Advanced Management Practice. Melissa said: “The ceremony was really nice and very special. It’s been an innovative course and we were studying with people from all over the world. We were a small class so we could interact really well.” Melissa is finishing her placement with Accenture in Newbury.

  • Andrei Varban and Ang Li also graduated with an MSc in Advanced Management Practice. Andrei said: It’s very exciting to be graduating today and I’m looking forward to the reception we are having, to celebrate with friends and teaching staff. I’ve had my placement at the Centre for Excellence on Low Carbon Vehicles, which tied in well with my interests. I’m looking forward to starting my career.”
