As you may be aware the Holburne Museum has recently begun charging for admission, however, staff and students from the University are still entitled to free entry with a valid University of Bath ID. The main current exhibition on display at the Holburne is ‘Gainsborough and the Theatre’ but don’t miss also the Rodin and Hockney.
David Hockney’s Mr and Mrs Clark and Percy is “One of the nation’s most loved paintings, and is also one of the great portraits of British art” according to the Holburne website. The Thinker by Auguste Rodin has been described by the Rodin Museum in Paris as “one of the most celebrated sculptures ever known”. Both are on display until 27 January 2019.
