The feedback you give us in student surveys is really important as it helps us continually develop and enhance what you learn, how you are taught and assessed, and the services and facilities we provide to support you.

Some examples of the feedback we've acted on, as a result of the previous student surveys, are:

  • we've created guidance on the use of GenAI, including an 'ABC' system, so you understand when you're allowed to use tools such as Microsoft CoPilot in your assessments
  • we're investing in our Student Support services, so we can offer you an even greater range of pastoral support services and activities
  • we've created new staff roles across our Faculties and the School of Management, to work on the development of your assessments and the feedback you receive
  • we're working on improving the training, guidance and technology to develop online delivery of classes, so you can learn effectively remotely, as well as in person
  • we're developing and sharing updated guidance to academic staff on assessment design, so they have better awareness of potential barriers to assessment for students with additional needs
  • we're working with student ambassadors to share information from the Skills Centre on how to make the best use of marking criteria
  • we're extending the opening hours for study spaces and catering outlets during the times of revision and exams
  • we've opened an SU hub in the Scala Building in Oldfield and the Virgil Building in the city centre, to create more social spaces for all our students
  • we're improving accessibility across campus, including installation of automatic doors, increased recording of lectures, and working with staff and students on inclusive teaching practice
  • we've created an infographic to explain when you'll receive the results of your assessments, so that you can use your lecturers' feedback to improve
  • we're using our student feedback, including surveys, to identify the ten top student priorities for the Students’ Union and University to work together and progress each year
  • we've reviewed the way the Careers Centre operates, and now you can drop in every day to get the advice you need without having to wait for an appointment
  • we've launched Micro Internships, and brought back Bath Insights for another year, to provide short-term, paid Work-based Learning opportunities
  • we've made it easier to articulate your transferrable skills to employers: we now provide globally-recognised qualifications in most of the Foreign Language courses taught by the Skills Centre, and the Writing Toolkit Certificate endorses the skills you gain by attending Skills for Success workshops.

All your feedback in surveys is completely confidential.
