Inclusion events play an important role in helping people feel seen, valued and connected within our University community. As we plan our programme for 2026-27, we are reviewing how these events can most effectively contribute to a sense of belonging for staff and students.
This year, our activity will be centred around four key areas. Alongside delivering these events and awareness activities, we will be listening, learning and evaluating what works well to ensure our future approach is meaningful, sustainable and responsive to the needs of our diverse community.
Other cultural and inclusion commemorative dates will be marked across the year through online content and digital resources. If you have any suggestions or would like to share your story please contact diversity@bath.ac.uk.
The focus points of our central programme this year will be:
- Disability History Month (November)
- Race Equality Week (February)
- International Women’s Day (March)
- Campus Pride (April)
We consult with the relevant staff networks and University Self Assessment Teams to develop the programme for each event, making sure the voices of those with lived experience are heard.
