The International Staff Network is pleased to invite you to the next International Community Dialogue Series event, with our Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost Professor Marcus Munafò. The session is taking place via Teams on 17 September 2026 at 11.15am. Download the calendar invite to add to your diary.

This series has been developed in response to feedback from members of the international staff community who want to engage directly with University leadership, ask questions, and discuss issues that shape the experiences of international colleagues across the University.

The discussion with Professor Munafò will focus on the experiences and contributions of international staff within the context of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and wider institutional priorities. Together we will explore how the University’s EDI and strategic priorities support inclusion, belonging and equity for international staff, and how international colleagues help shape an inclusive academic environment and enriching community.

These sessions aim to create an open and constructive space for conversation, shared perspectives, and dialogue around institutional priorities, support structures, and opportunities for international staff.

Following a brief introduction and overview from Professor Munafò, the greater part of the event will be an open discussion with colleagues. You can submit your questions in advance or ask live on the day.

The session will build on the success of the launch event in July, which you can read about on the International Staff Network blog.

The next event in the series will be a conversation with Richard Brooks, Director of Human Resources, in November. You can join the International Staff Network Teams group using the code 'etwputj' for updates on this and future events.
