The network upgrades scheduled for Tuesday evening were completed and all services should be running as expected from Wednesday.

We have been advised that there will be a *short interruption to campus online services on Tuesday evening around 730pm *.

It is expected the work will take 5 to 30 minutes.

During this period there will no external connectivity on campus, which will affect internet access, VoIP phones, and other systems which require access to the internet. You will still be able to access the internet via devices with mobile network data or connectivity. Cloud services such as Office365 will remain available off campus and via mobile networks.

The direct impact on the Library service would be no access to anything requiring University login, on or off campus. Openly accessible resources should still be available to those who can connect from outside the University networks. The card swipe access to enter the Library building won't be affected. Self issue machines for book loans will not be available for the duration of the outage but should reset when network access is restored.
