This September, we are delighted to welcome more than 50 students from our Masters in Public Policy (MPP) and Professional Doctorate in Policy Research and Practice (DPRP) to the University of Bath for their residential visits.

From 2-13 September, and 7-13 September, DPRP and MPP students will attend a full programme of networking events and research seminars with academics from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, including the Departments of; Health; Education; Politics, Languages, and International Studies; and Social and Policy Sciences.

Over the course of their residential, DPRP students will also present and discuss their research with Bath doctoral students at the Annual IPR Doctoral Public Policy Research Seminar on 5 September – a unique opportunity to hear about some of the most exciting and topical research projects within the field of public policy.

Similarly, both MPP and DPRP students will attend the IPR Annual Symposium, ‘This is Tomorrow’, on 12 September – a full day featuring world renowned academics, practitioners and researchers discussing global developments and concerns, and what the future might hold.

Author, former public policy commentator at the Financial Times, and former President of the Social Policy Association, Nick Timmins, will also be giving a guest lecture on the future of the NHS as part of both residential visits.

We wish both MPP and DPRP students a warm welcome to the University, and look forward to the weeks ahead.
