The Employability and Student Success Team is delighted to announce that Bath Insights is returning for 2025-26.

This 8-week on-campus internship programme provides students in their first and second year with professional experience in a structured way, helping them to build their confidence and develop their employability skills whilst earning. All university Professional Services teams are invited to register their interest in hosting a Bath Insights intern.

The purpose of Bath Insights

The programme aims to provide rich and rewarding internships to students and isn't a method of employing casual labour. Internship projects should enable host departments to harness student creativity, ingenuity and energy, and allow students to develop workplace skills, alongside the chance to contribute blue skies thinking and practical solutions to genuine projects.

The benefits of hosting an intern

This is a fantastic opportunity to get student input and voice on a range of projects. The impact made by previous cohorts was really impressive, with host managers commenting:

Programme timeline

All internships will run for 8 weeks. The timeline for the programme is as follows:
By 3 November 2025 Deadline to register interest in hosting an intern.
End of November 2025 Deadline for departments to submit final project ideas.
Early January 2026 Applications open.
End of January 2026 Applications close.
Late February / Early March 2026 Assessment Centres will meet all applicants, and match successful candidates to the most appropriate internship opportunity (students will not be able to apply to specific opportunities).
Monday 1 June 2026 Internships start.
Friday 24 July 2026 Internships end.
