My Employability Profile
A dashboard to help you track your development in 13 key employability capabilities
Accessible by all students, including undergraduates, postgraduate taught students, remote learners and students on placement, this online dashboard will sit alongside MyFuture (our Careers platform) and My Academic Success (our skills platform) and support you to access the information, resources, and events you need to build a comprehensive employability profile that employers will recognise and value.
It will help you articulate and demonstrate the skills you have developed in 13 key employability capabilities, identifying gaps you may have and suggesting resources to fill those gaps.
You can add to your dashboard at any time, and progress at your own pace. There is no deadline or limit on what you can submit to build your profile.

Languages and employability
In an increasingly interconnected world, language learning has become more than a skill.
It is a vital asset for students preparing for university placements and graduate roles, whether in the UK or abroad. While mastering a second (or third) language opens up exciting opportunities for international travel and cultural engagement, its value goes far beyond the obvious. Language learning cultivates a wide range of employability skills and can significantly enhance your placement prospects and future career.
