Whether you're just not sure what to do next or know what you want to do but need some help to get there – this day is for you. We will have parallel sessions running to ensure you can make the most of your time and can join the workshops that are most relevant for you.
Event information
The Finalist Jumpstart day will run in-person on campus on Tuesday 2 June 2026.
What's involved
Taking place on campus and open to all undergraduate finalists from any Faculty / School, this interactive day will give you the chance to:
- hear from the Careers team on potential next steps
- have round-table discussions with your peers
- take some time to reflect on your individual goals and actions
The day isn't about sitting and listening to others. It's a day where you'll be taking part, asking questions of yourself and others, and really engaging in a variety of activities designed to boost your future.
You'll follow one of two tracks for the day, based on where you are in your career thinking, to make sure the support is tailored to you:
- I haven't decided what to do after I graduate
or - I know what I want to do, and need some help to make it happen
In the run up to the event we'll be giving you tips and resources to help you make the most of it, and afterwards you'll have the opportunity to schedule a 1:1 with a Careers Consultant if you'd like to.
Why you should attend
This is a day that has been specifically designed to support undergraduate final-year students in planning their next steps after graduation. Attending will give you the opportunity to:
- spend a day focusing on your career goals in a supportive environment
- gain confidence in planning your next steps
- book a follow-up appointment with a Careers consultant
Book your place
When booking your place, you'll need to tell us a little bit about your background and why you'd like to attend the day. You will also need to choose which track you'd like to follow for the day; either 'I haven't decided what to do after I graduate' or 'I know what I want to do and need some help to make it happen'. This helps us ensure everyone participating gets the most out of the event and that workshops are tailored to your needs.
Choose the track that best fits where you are right now in your career thinking. If your circumstances change before the event, you'll have an opportunity to update your choice.
Bookings via this link are restricted to final year undergraduate students. If you think you meet this criteria and are unable to book, please contact Careers by email at careers@bath.ac.uk.
Further help
Don't forget that this event is available exclusively to undergraduate final-year students. If you're not an undergraduate final-year student, or you're in your final year but can't be on campus on 2 June for the day, there is still plenty of support available.
The best way to get help is to come along to a Careers Centre drop-in, between 10:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday. Careers will also continue to support you after you graduate and offers remote options for those no longer in Bath.
