Bath Connection - network with Bath graduates
Bath Connection is a secure online system which allows you to network with our Alumni Experts. They are Bath graduates who have volunteered to talk to fellow Bath graduates for careers support - it's a really great way to get some extra insight from someone who has ‘been there already’.
As a graduate, you can also become an Alumni Expert yourself. You can help current Bath students and graduates with their career planning, by telling them about:
- what's involved in your job
- what it's like working for your employer
- your experience of the recruitment process
- diversity issues
You'll find it interesting talking to current students and will have the satisfaction of helping them with their next steps. You can be asked for help with quick questions or for more in-depth support.
Bath Connection includes hundreds of graduates working for a wide range of employers and in many types of role, from the high-profile to the more unusual.
Graduate Outcomes Survey
Graduate Outcomes is the biggest UK annual social survey and captures the perspectives and current status of recent graduates.
All graduates will be asked to take part in the survey 15 months after they finish their studies. The responses will be crucial in allowing current and future students to make informed choices and in helping the University of Bath evaluate and promote our courses. Please respond when you are invited to participate in the survey and help make the Graduate Outcomes survey a success.
To support the survey, we are required to hold accurate contact details for you. If you would like to update your contact details you can do so by emailing Alumni - email@example.com
The survey is owned by HESA, the Higher Education Statistics Agency who have created a website with more information www.graduateoutcomes.ac.uk including guidance on how your contact details will be used.
Graduate recruitment fairs
Summer fairs across the UK
Looking for fairs elsewhere? Summer graduate recruitment fairs are held at universities throughout the UK between April and early July. This is an opportunity to access remaining vacancies with some of the large employers, and an opportunity to meet smaller and regional employers.
These fairs are open to graduates of any university, and you can see details on Prospects.ac.uk - filter using 'Graduates' to find the right events.
Autumn fairs promote opportunities to start the following summer, and may help you plan a graduate job before you start a gap year.
Held on campus, our autumn fair is for University of Bath students and graduates only, and is held in the third week of October. Please contact us from the February beforehand for more details.
Using other careers services
You may be able to use a university careers service closer to your home - look them up online and phone to check service availability as provision varies significantly. Where it's available, this service is normally restricted to UK graduates for the first three years after graduation, and access to appointments with a careers adviser may be limited.
Information Rooms are often open to all graduates, but access to online networks and certain resources may be limited.
Some services may be fee-based.
Services for graduates of other institutions
If you are not a graduate of the University of Bath, see our page for graduates of other institutions.
