Sustainable Library Spark contest

We are delighted to invite any current students at the University of Bath to take part in our green Library Spark competition. Be a bright spark and share your green idea to help us make the Library even more sustainable!

We’re inviting students to share creative, low-cost ideas that could make any aspect of our library services, facilities, or resources more environmentally sustainable. Whether it’s a tweak to how we operate, a clever reuse of materials, or a fresh approach to energy-saving—if it’s green and achievable, we want to hear it!

With a prize of £500 for the best proposal and the opportunity to enhance your creative, project management, and presentation skills, library staff will collaborate with the winning student(s) to explore the ways in which we can bring their idea to life. Submit your proposal by 11:59pm on 23 February 2026.

Check out the Library Spark website for guidance, tips, and rules, and email us at library-spark@bath.ac.uk with any questions.
