Important Updates to Mandatory Staff Training
The University of Bath is introducing changes to its mandatory training requirements to ensure all staff are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills. These updates include the addition of two new mandatory training modules for all staff and changes to the functionality of an existing module. Please review the information below carefully to understand what these changes mean for you and what actions are required.

| Requirement | Mandatory for all staff. This new module replaces the previous “Be the Change” training. All existing staff should complete this new module by the end of October 2025 as a refresher course. This training module is an important part of the University's regulatory compliance with Office for Students' Condition E6. | Mandatory for all staff who handle personal data (such as email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal records) to ensure they are handling personal data in a safe and legally compliant way. Whilst data protection is highlighted in the cyber security training, this new and enhanced module focusing on data protection must now be completed. |

Update to Safeguarding in HE Module
The Safeguarding in Higher Education module on Learn Upon has been updated. While the content remains the same, the way it appears on your dashboard has changed:
Staff will be automatically re-enrolled three years after completing the module
The updated module will appear under “Enrolled Courses” on your Learn Upon dashboard when it is time for this to be refreshed
