Our first Open Days of 2019 are now just days away with over 18,000 additional visitors expected on campus over the two days of Friday 21 June and Saturday 22 June.

These events help to give a very positive first impression to prospective students who are coming to see what we, and the city of Bath, have to offer. We know from feedback at previous Open Days that visitors have been impressed by the warm welcome from our staff and students, and by the wonderful facilities and campus.

Our Open Days have become a major team effort, and I would like to take this opportunity in advance to thank everyone who has been working so hard with the planning, and all the staff and students who will play an active role on the day itself.

Visitor cars will be directed to East, South and West car parks as normal where they can park or be directed on to overflow car parks on the grass fields. We will be employing additional security staff to help with the flow of traffic on and off campus from our main east entrance. If it is not essential that you are on campus on Friday, and are able to work from home, then please do so. Alternatively, please car share where possible.

For those staff arriving later in the day who may struggle to find space to park, Security Services have allocated K car park for your use which is located to the rear of Brendon Court. It will not be staffed and there is no need to use a special pass. We look forward to welcoming visitors to campus and showing them everything we have to offer.

Many thanks,
Professor Ian White
Vice-Chancellor & President
