The Bath Institute for Digital Security and Behaviour (IDSB) has launched a new blog on the University of Bath's blogging platform, creating a space to share expert perspectives on the opportunities and challenges presented by our increasingly digital world.

The blog will feature accessible articles from researchers across the Institute, exploring how digital technologies are reshaping society and highlighting the impact of interdisciplinary research at Bath.

The first three blogs reflect the breadth of expertise within the IDSB, covering:

  • AI governance - why safe and responsible AI matters more than ever, and the importance of developing effective governance frameworks that balance innovation with public trust
  • Social media and politics - how social media platforms are reshaping political communication, democratic participation and public discourse in an increasingly connected world
  • Welcome to the IDSB blog - an introduction from Institute Director, Professor Laura G E Smith, outlining the vision for the new platform and how it will showcase research that addresses some of today's most pressing digital challenges

The IDSB is an interdisciplinary research institute that brings together expertise from across the University to address the complex challenges and opportunities created by digital technologies, with a particular focus on digital security, artificial intelligence and human behaviour. The new blog is jointly led by both IDSB Directors Professor Laura G E Smith and Professor Adam Joinson, who will be joined by researchers from across the Institute in sharing evidence-based insights, research and commentary on some of today's most pressing digital issues.
