We're pleased to announce that many of our final year students on the new MPharm course have secured some of the best jobs in the country through the national NHS recruitment process.

The 'Oriel' process, managed by Health Education England (HEE), is extremely rigorous. All students undertake assessment centres at the end of their 3rd year. They are then ranked across the country and offered places based on their ranking and preferences.

In the breakdown of results, provided by Health Education England, our students ranked top for performance in the Situational Judgement Tests (SJTs) and second in the Multiple Mini-Interviews (MMIs) across all schools of pharmacy. Based on this performance, all our final year students that wanted a post have been offered one.

Neil McHugh, Head of the Department of Pharmacy & Pharmacology said: "The performance of our final year pharmacy students in the process for obtaining pre-registration places has been simply outstanding. As a department we are proud of them.

"The results also demonstrate the excellence of our course curriculum, and the commitment of our teaching staff to delivering the best possible graduates to equip the needs of our future pharmacy workforce."
