The Culture & Inclusion Team is working on a Staff Experience Framework, which will define what staff can expect and what is expected of them as University of Bath staff, similar to the Student Experience Strategy. We invite staff from across the University to join focus groups and to share feedback and aspirations about their experience of working here.

We are interested in finding out about the experience staff would like to have whilst working at the University, looking at some key elements of the staff journey, key themes such as community and culture and health and wellbeing and what staff feel are the most important elements of a positive staff experience.

Project Aims

These focus groups will help us to gather an understanding of staff needs and areas for improvement, enabling the University to create a more supportive, diverse, and inclusive community that puts the experience of its staff at its forefront.

The focus groups are open to any member of staff across all job families and at all grades.

Key Information about the Sessions

The focus groups will run as in-person world café style sessions, and participants will be asked to discuss their experiences in small groups and to write down their thoughts. Participants will then be asked to consider and reflect on the key things which have come up during the session. The focus groups will last 1 hour.

All feedback will be anonymised, and the sessions will not be recorded.

We would like to hear about your experiences and aspirations. Please sign up for one of the below in-person sessions by no later than one week before the event. You will then receive a calendar invite for the session of your choosing, and some further details about session content.
