Revised agenda

Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Research, Prof. Rachel Arnold, confirmed this week that the agenda for this year’s Research Culture Day is to be revised:

Due to an unusually high number of conferences and other events taking place in June, we have decided to split out parts of the day. We want to make sure as many research staff have access to our programme of events as possible, and therefore also have the opportunity to engage in research culture.

22 June, 10.00-11.30 (online)

In this online session, we’ll focus on sharing the excellent progress made across the University so far and what it means for you. Hear from action owners directly, have your say on how change feels in your area, and find out what’s happening next.

‘Indicators of a Thriving Research Culture’ workshop

9 July, 14.00-15.30 (online)

Join members of the Research Culture Steering Group online to discuss how we can best measure our research culture progress; identifying the most helpful evidence to understand progress and demonstrate positive impact of the activities and initiatives in all UoAs. Especially relevant for SPRE Leads and all those involved in delivering research culture actions.

‘Forward, together’ programme

Join us in person on 10 September for inspiring Lightning Talks, a Research Culture innovations showcase, and our fantastic panel on dealing with setbacks in academia. We’re looking forward to bringing you a packed programme of informative, thought-provoking discussions with lots of opportunities to collaborate.
