We’re delighted to announce that our inaugural Research Culture Day 2026 ‘Forward, together’ will take place in person on Monday 22 June 2026, 10am-4pm, at The Edge, University of Bath.

You’re invited to join PVCR Emma Carmel, APVCR Rachel Arnold and the Research Culture team to celebrate what’s been achieved since the launch of our strategic Research Culture Action Plan 18 months ago, and explore how we’re continuing to drive our research culture forward at Bath.
We’ll be sharing knowledge, best practice, and valuable insights to help support your work as researchers and research enablers.
With cross-discipline collaboration key to delivering excellent research, Research Culture Day 2026 will also offer a hands-on workshop exploring the indicators of a thriving research culture, followed by an exciting panel discussion exploring the impact of failure and setbacks, featuring expert speakers invited from across the University and beyond.

- 12.50: Workshop: What are the indicators of a thriving research culture?

- 14.30: Panel Discussion: Support for Setbacks – exploring the impact of failure in academic life and building the systems and culture to meet it
