Last Wednesday the Sports Department hosted a rounders event. Eight teams entered with approximately 100 staff in attendance.
Some teams really committed, with several wearing fancy dress - ranging from Romans to pirates - and thoroughly embracing the competitive spirit of the game. Four pitches were in full swing for the lunch time event and a bit of rain didn’t stop play or dampen spirits. Lots of rounders were scored and we saw some great fielding and batting from all teams.
Congratulations to the Maths team who took the winning trophy, with the Sports Department ending in a respectable second place.
A huge thanks to the grounds team for setting up the pitches and sports staff for supporting the event.
