Adrian had worked at Bath for five years, prior to which he worked at the UKRI. He has worked in multiple fields from biotechnology to battery materials.
Professor Matthew Jones, Head of Department of Chemistry, said, “Adrian was a valuable member of the department and happy face at coffee and lunch. It is a difficult job to project manage academics, and Adrian had to manage multiple academics over multiple universities, which he always did in a calm and professional manner.”
Adrian will also be remembered for his warmth and personality. He had a lifelong love of cats, Lego, and long, meandering stories, told with humour and charm. His kindness, curiosity, and passion for life’s little joys made him a friend to many, and his presence will be sorely missed.
The funeral will be held at 2pm on Wednesday 12th February at North Wiltshire Crematorium and afterwards at The Bolingbroke Arms, Swindon. Click here to contribute to the online Book of Condolences.
