Architecture & Built Environment, Business & Management, and Development Studies were ranked in the world’s top 100 subjects whilst Social Policy & Administration, and ‘Sports-related subjects’ were recognised as being within the top 50 subjects in the world.

This is the first year Social Policy & Administration has made it into the top 50 at 36th whilst Sports-related subjects have retained their top 50 ranking for a third consecutive year, positioned an impressive 10th globally in this year’s ranking.

Bath’s particular strengths in graduate prospects has again been reflected in this latest ranking which highlights the University’s most-employable graduates come from its Sports-related subjects, scoring 84.6/100 for Employer Reputation. This subject area was also Bath’s most highly-regarded department among the global academic community, scoring 83.1/100 for Academic Reputation.

In terms of research strengths, Bath’s highest performers for Citations per Paper were Chemistry (91.7/100) and Business and Management (91.6/100).

The QS World University Rankings by Subject provides an extensive overview of international higher education performance, with over 1200 universities from 78 locations ranked in 48 subject tables and five broad disciplinary tables
