We are delighted to once again receive the 'Park Mark' Safer Parking Award this year, after satisfying the stringent criteria laid down by the British Parking Association and the police. It is recognition that the University takes its responsibilities of safer parking seriously and has worked hard to ensure that the facilities provided are the best that can be achieved.
The University of Bath is already recognised as one the safest University campus’ in the UK, usually sitting within the top three. Our dedicated Security Services team are here 24/7, 365 days a year, supported by highly skilled technical security staff to ensure the continuing safety of the campus and other University of Bath sites. We are constantly developing our services to meet the demands of the wider University community.
The Safer Parking Scheme is managed by the British Parking Association on behalf of Police Crime Prevention Initiatives Ltd, a subsidiary of the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). The Safer Parking Scheme, established in 2004, is a UK-wide initiative aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime in parking facilities.
