As part of an ongoing pre-planning-application process the University has submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment screening request to Bath & North East Somerset Council (B&NES) relating to a proposed student accommodation development.

The proposed eight-building development would be to the east of Claverton Down campus reflecting the University’s Masterplan.

The council will now decide if a full Environmental Impact Assessment is required.

As part this preparatory process the University has already taken part in a formal pre-application consultation with the B&NES Development Team Service and a Design Review Panel.

A public consultation event is now being planned for later in the Spring, where views on the latest designs will be invited from any interested parties, and details will be publicised when confirmed.
