As we near 29 March, so much around the Brexit process remains uncertain and I am acutely aware how unsettling this can be for many people at the University and their families.

Our main priority at the moment is, of course, supporting our community. We are ensuring current and prospective students and staff who may be affected by Brexit have the information and support they need, including via our website at go.bath.ac.uk/brexit

There are potential implications for staff and students travelling in Europe in the event of a ‘no deal’ exit. Our travel management company, Clarity, has issued updated advice for those about to travel and this is available on the travel blog.

The University’s travel insurance is unchanged and will continue to provide cover for medical expenses whilst overseas.

We will continue to communicate with you as the situation develops. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please do discuss these with your line manager or HR contact.

Regards,
Professor Bernie Morley,
Acting Vice-Chancellor
