This decision is a significant commitment to research at Bath and the strategic importance of research to the future of our University.

The new modules maximise our earlier investment in the Worktribe platform with the Contracts module and will enable a seamless solution to streamline and strengthen our research support capability. These new modules will replace our current Proposal to Award Management system (PAM) for managing research funding applications. Worktribe offers features and functionality out of the box and has a user-friendly interface, particularly for occasional users. This is why it is preferred by a wide range of institutions across the sector.

The implementation of this solution is currently being managed through the University Research Management System (URMS) Project and will be phased through October 2025 to summer 2026, to minimise disruption. This work is interdependent with the proposed migration of Agresso to the cloud (the CLEAR Project), which is currently in development and awaiting approval. While this interdependency may influence timelines, every effort is being made to minimise any impact on research funding applications during the transition period.

If you would like to know more about the project, timeline or the selection of Worktribe, please visit our URMS website.
