Programme details


During your study, you will attend lectures led by our experts and collaborate with like-minded peers on case studies guided by our researchers. Together, you will explore the mathematical foundations and practical implementations of key methodologies with applications in a wide range of industries.

The summer school itinerary will feature lectures, collaborative problem solving and intensive project work in small groups.

Additional requirements

For this course, you will need to bring a laptop computer running a recent version of Windows, iOS or Linux.

Please note, for this programme, you should have completed at least two years of an undergraduate degree majoring in maths or statistics, and have an interim grade average of at least 55%.

A lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, James specialises in mathematical physics and statistical thermodynamics.
