Starting your doctorate
Find out more about the University's compulsory induction session for new doctoral researchers
As a new doctoral researcher at the University of Bath, you are required to attend this compulsory induction session.
You will learn about the process of doctoral study, have the opportunity to meet other members of the doctoral community and find out about key university services.
You'll hear from key members of staff about working with your supervisor, your professional development and how you are represented as a doctoral student. At the end of the session you will have the opportunity to join a 30 - 45 minute guided tour of the campus led by our Doctoral Engagement Ambassadors.
You'll all receive a welcome pack to take away which contains a Doctoral College handbook, a voucher for a free keep-cup, lanyard and lots of information about university services.
If you are starting a Professional Doctorate, you will have separate induction arrangements which will be sent to you by your Doctoral Programme Administrator.
