Learning Outcomes: After taking this unit, students should be able to:
* Demonstrate knowledge of data science techniques.
* Use computational tools for data visualization and wrangling.
* Show awareness of the applications of these methods.
* Understand the mathematical models underlying spatial data and text data.
* ability to apply these methods on large scale complex data analysis.


Aims: To teach Data Science, including data visualization, data wrangling and tools for spatial and text data analysis.

Skills: Problem Solving (T,F&A), Computing (T,F&A), independent study and report writing.

Content: Data Visualization,
Data wrangling and applications to modern large data sets,
Statistical learning on text data,
Spatial data analysis.
