Passport Check and Visa Collection

If requested by the Student Immigration Service, you must attend an appointment to have your documents checked.

The Student Immigration Service will email you with information about when and where you should attend your check session.

Those students that do not have a Student Visa, should upload their flight ticket/visa stamp copy/vignette on their SAMIS account. Student Immigration Service will email you directly with further details on how to do this.

Welcome events

Pick up your induction pack, have a coffee and meet other new students on the level 1 foyer in The Chancellors' Building.

You can collect your induction pack from 9am on Thursday 3 February. Please note that our induction session will start at 10am.

Introduction to University teams

Meet teams from around the University and find out how they can help you during your time at Bath. All introductions will take place in The Chancellors' building, Room 1.12. From 10am, you will be introduced to:

  • the International Mobility Team
  • the Student Services Team
  • the Students' Union
  • the Skills Centre

Campus tours

Current University of Bath students will lead campus tours from 12pm (optional).

Optional sessions

English language test

If you want to improve your English language skills at Bath, you must first take the Cambridge English test so we can put you in the right class for your level.

Tests will be conducted online, during the induction you will receive detailed information on when the tests are taking place.

City of Bath walking tour

Join us for a free walking tour of the city of Bath, after our induction on 3 February at 14:30pm. We will send you information on how to sign up in due course.

Department meetings

You must attend your academic department meeting to meet the Department Exchange Coordinator and learn more about your department and units that you'll be studying.
