Document checking sessions
If you are from outside the EU, you must attend a drop in document checking session with our Student Immigration Service.
The Student Immigration Service will be in Wessex House, Room 8.29 from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday 30 January. This is a drop in session. Go along whenever you have some spare time.
If you are arriving later and will not be able to attend this session, you can visit the team in Wessex House, 8.29 between 10am and 12pm and 2pm and 4pm on Friday 31 January.
Please note that all students with an overseas fee status must attend the document checking session in order to complete registration as a University of Bath student.
International Relations Office induction on Thursday 30 January 2020
Pick up your induction pack, have a coffee and meet other new students on the 1st floor foyer in The Chancellors' Building.
You can register and collect your induction pack from 8:30am on Thursday 30 January. Please note that our first session will start promptly at 9am.
Introduction to University teams
Meet teams from around the University and find out how they can help you during your time at Bath. All introductions will take place in The Chancellors' building, Room 1.11. From 9am, you will be introduced to:
- the International Mobility Team
- the Student Services Team
- the Students' Union alongside the International Students' Association
- the Skills Centre
Current University of Bath students will lead campus tours from 11:30am (optional).
English language test
If you want to improve your English language skills at Bath, you must first take the Cambridge English test so we can put you in the right class for your level.
You will have the option of taking the test on Thursday 30 January 2020. If you are interested, please ask us for further details.
The test will take around one hour.
Roman Baths tour
Join us for a free tour of the Roman Baths on Wednesday 12 February . We will send you information on how to sign up in due course.
You must attend your academic department meeting to meet the Department Exchange Coordinator and learn more about your department and units that you'll be studying.
