Document checking sessions

If you are from outside the EU, you must attend a document checking session with our Student Immigration Service.

Our Student Immigration Service will be on the Level 4 of the Library from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 22 September 2019. If you are unable to make this session there will be alternative sessions throughout Welcome Week. Please read our guide for full details.

All students with an overseas fee status must attend the document checking session in order to complete registration as a University of Bath student.

International Relations Office Induction on Monday 23 September 2019

Welcome events

Pick up your induction pack, have a coffee and meet other new students on the 2nd floor foyer in The Chancellors' Building.

You can register and collect your induction pack from 1:30pm on Monday 23 September. Please note that the first session will start promptly at 2pm.

Introduction to University teams

Meet teams from around the University and find out how they can help you during your time at Bath. All introductions will take place in The Chancellors' building, Room 2.6. From 2pm, you will be introduced to:

  • the International Mobility Team
  • the Student Services Team
  • the Students' Union alongside the International Students' Association
  • the Skills Centre

Campus tours

Current University of Bath students will lead campus tours from 4pm.

Optional sessions

English language test

If you want to improve your English language skills at Bath, you must first take the Cambridge English test so we can put you in the right class for your level.

You will have the option of taking the test on Monday 23 September. If you are interested, please ask us for further details.

The test will take around one hour.

Roman Baths tour

Join us for a free tour of the Roman Baths . We will confirm further details of the tour and how to sign up when available.

Department meetings

You must attend your academic department meeting to meet the Department Exchange Coordinator and learn more about your department and units that you'll be studying.
