About the workshop
NVivo is a qualitative data analysis software package which enables the researcher to manage and better analyse research data, such as open-ended questions in questionnaires or interview and focus group transcripts. NVivo can also help with other multimedia data such as audio or video recordings.
This workshop provides a step-by-step introduction to using NVivo 12 to support qualitative analysis. A range of the software's tools will be demonstrated using real-life research projects and participants will have an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the following functions of the software:
- setting up a new project
- creating or importing sources
- organising data
- coding in different ways
- working with cases and attributes
- running queries
- using visualisation tools
The software used will be NVivo 12 for Windows: Mac users may attend but should be aware that NVivo for Mac has some limitations.
