About the workshop

Decisions about the macro-structure of a PhD thesis can have significant effects not just on the readability of the text but also on a range of other important issues such as whether the thesis has sufficient value-added material to pass and the degree to which chapters lend themselves to journal publication. The session offers advice on these matters and an opportunity to reflect on them in your own case to identify any potential problems and address them.
