Calculators for use in the Library

The Library holds a small number of Casio FX-991 CW+ calculators from the examinations office. This is the model in use for University assessments from May 2026 where a calculator is required and provided for students.

These calculators are available for loan from the Library Reader Services desk during our staffed hours 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. They will be issued to your library card, for use in the Library only and should be returned on the same day to be discharged from your account. Daily late fees of 80p apply to the late return of calculators.

It is expected that students will borrow a Library calculator to use in relation to work they are doing in the Library or in order to familiarise themselves with the device in advance of assessments where they will be issued to students sitting the examination.

The Library does not have enough calculators to provide to whole student groups undertaking assessments. Calculators are in high demand by Library users during revision periods.
