Early Career Pathway to Fellowship
The Early Career Pathway to Fellowship is a work-based curriculum of active learning for early career lecturers. It is aimed at developing your understanding of academic practice within your individual, departmental and disciplinary context. Successful completion will lead to HEA Fellowship.
Who should follow this Pathway?
Under the University's requirements for new teaching staff, lecturers on contracts 0.4fte or more are required to complete this programme.
However, if you already have a Fellowship, you may be able to apply for exemption. To apply for exemption, the concerned early career staff must submit an exemption form with any associated evidence (HEA fellowship certificate) to CLT for consideration by the Pathways Scheme Lead.
If you are an experienced member of staff, you may wish to consider the Experiential Pathway to Fellowship for experienced Staff.

How will the programme be delivered?
All sessions will be delivered using a blended approach of: - synchronous sessions which will take place in person or on Teams - preparatory tasks and pre-reading using resources accessed via Moodle and the CLT Hub
All core sessions of the programme will run three times in an academic year. Dates and times for future sessions are published in advance to help your planning.
