- an English or another course of 12 months or less but more than six months’ duration, you should be granted to the end of the course plus two months (to the end of the month)
- a course of six months or less, you should be granted to the end of the course plus up to a maximum of seven days
Dependants of any student should be granted the same period as the student.
Getting your visa errors corrected
If you have a full visa in your passport which was issued overseas (Entry Clearance), visit gov.uk to correct your endorsement.
If you have an eVisa, you need to report the error with your eVisa online. You will then need to wait for instructions from UKVI via email.
After submitting your corrections
Be prepared to wait as caseworkers may take a while to respond. Don't let your visa expire while waiting for a response.
