St Martins Garden is a primary school nestled between Foxhill and Odd Down in Bath. Bath is often thought of as a wealthy city, but it has pockets of poverty, and this school works with some of the most impacted students in the city. It has a very diverse set of students with a disproportionately high number of free school meals and EHCP (education and health care plan). The aim is to work with the school, using a place-based approach, to first define the questions the school would like to answer, before then working on meaningful solutions. These could be as diverse as education projects, health and wellbeing, or structural design. But that will be developed by the project team using your unique and diverse skills in this context.

The school motto is kind, brave, brilliant. There are real opportunities around education, hunger, inequality and sustainable communities. The aim of the project is to create a kind, brave and brilliant question around one or more of these topics and answer it in imaginative and unexpected ways to create unimagined opportunities for the students.
