Lecturer (Assistant Professor)/Senior Lecturer/Reader (Associate Professor) in Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of Bath is completing a significant expansion. Research in the department occurs across more than six major subdisciplines in psychology, including clinical, cognitive, developmental, environmental, health, and social.  We are based in a new £30m purpose-built facility, containing two floors of state-of-the-art labs for interview, group observation, EEG/ERP, virtual reality, psychobiology, eye-tracking, pain, cross-modal and computerised testing.

Research excellence will be the primary consideration for filling these vacancies, although expertise in social psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and/or educational psychology are desirable.   The Department is seeking applicants with demonstrable research quality. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise, staff were returned in different units of assessment, the largest of which (Allied Health Professions) obtained the highest REF2014 rating across the whole University. The University was ranked 12th overall in the UK in REF2014. The Department was recently ranked 2nd in the 2020 Complete University Guide.  More information about the Department can be found at http://www.bath.ac.uk/psychology/.

The University of Bath is situated in the beautiful World Heritage City of Bath and is part of the GW4 group of leading Universities (with Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter). Bath is also a member of the ERSC-funded SWDTC. Bath is 15 minutes from Bristol by train and 90 minutes from London and Oxford.

In your application, please indicate which one of the three vacancies you are seeking: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Reader
