The Faculty of Science offers innovative part-time distance learning opportunities to practicing pharmacists with currently over 300 students studying.  With the introduction of new programmes this number is set to increase and we are now looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy team.  You will play a key role in providing e-learning support alongside taking responsibility for other tasks in these programmes, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation.

Educated to a minimum of A level or with an equivalent qualification, applicants for this post should have previous experience of working in a busy office environment in an administrative role. Knowledge of technology enhanced learning, in particular the use of a Virtual Learning Environment is essential.  Attention to detail is very important as is the ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities. You will need to work closely with other team members, academic colleagues and students based across the country, so excellent communication skills are highly important. You will be an excellent team player, able to work on own initiative, with a high degree of flexibility, and a quick learner. You should have advanced computer skills, with a proficiency in Word and Excel, and the ability to learn use of database systems.

Skills in the use of University specific software (Moodle, SAMIS/SITS and Business Objects) will be an added advantage. However, an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the Faculty is equally important.

Some travel within the UK to support off-site workshops may be required.
