The Student's Union (SU) are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant (Sales Ledger). The SU is an independent charity based at the University of Bath. We help students shape their experience so they get the most out of their time at university. 

The finance team provides key support to The SU to enable them to deliver their goals. We are excited to invite applications for a Finance Assistant (Sales Ledger) to join our busy team.  This is a part time, term time only role and will be customer facing. 

Main duties include:

  • To process and reconcile income from commercial outlets, non-commercial areas, events and societies.
  • To produce sales invoices on behalf of all its departments and to be responsible for effective debt management.
  • To assist with the provision of a finance counter service within The SU including the sale of National Express tickets.
  • To undertake general administrative duties including filing of invoices, sorting post and other documents.
  • To undertake a number of monthly ledger reconciliation tasks.

The ideal candidates will have experience in all aspects of sales ledger work and have knowledge and practical experience of computer based accounting systems. They will have the ability to communicate at all levels, work as part of a team and deliver excellent customer service at all times.

This is role is offered on a 25 hour part time, term time only basis.
