The Department of Sports Development and Recreation at the University of Bath seeks to create impact through sport, by maximising its unique environment every day for every customer.

The Department manages and organises a range of activities under the University’s sports brand - Team Bath - and aspires to create a world leading multi-sport environment delivering to elite athletes, staff and students of the University and the local and regional community.

We are recognised by UK Sport as one of only six Elite Training Centres, providing the training base for around 250 international level athletes. This is an opportunity to become part of a professional and progressive organisation at the leading edge of sport, health and fitness.

You will work within a partnership approach with the Department for Health in the delivery of a newly designed, applied practice unit of the BSc Sport and Exercise Science degree programme. This role combines delivery and programme co-ordination, as such, you will ideally require experience in teaching in education or professional settings and strong knowledge of vocational courses and professional qualifications.

You will work closely with internal and external partners to create opportunities for all students to access sports related qualifications, experiences and skill development utilising expertise both on campus and wider afield. You will be expected to continuously develop curriculum and non-curriculum-based programmes, utilising technology, and learning innovations to provide an enhanced experience for students at Bath.

To be successful in post, you will need experience of project management, working with multiple stakeholders and developing effective networks.

We have a strong commitment to enhance the experience of our students and are passionate about the role sport can play in professional development.  This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the department to further progress and develop our portfolio of professional development offerings for students at the university.
