About the role

As a member of the Undergraduate Admissions Selection Team, you will take responsibility for managing selection for a specific portfolio of courses across the year to achieve the University’s aims of admitting the ablest and motivated students while providing a professional and efficient experience for applicants. Working to criteria developed with Admissions Tutors, you will assess UCAS applications and on a day-to-day basis independently make and apply offers or unsuccessful decisions for these applicants in a fair, consistent and transparent way. You will also be responsible for checking decisions made by other members of the team and for assessing the fee status of applicants.

This role is a part time opportunity for 3 full days a week, Wednesday-Friday.

About you 

You will have a high standard of IT and administrative skills, an excellent telephone manner and be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with people at all levels. An ability to stay calm and work efficiently and accurately in a busy customer service environment is essential.

Although ideally, you will have worked in higher education admissions where you will have gained a good understanding of the assessment of qualifications and the UCAS system, we will consider candidates with alternative relevant experience.
