About the role

The Careers Service team are recruiting an Information Assistant to be the first point of contact for our clients, dealing with enquiries (face to face, by email or telephone) from students and others, and providing access to support provided by Careers Advisers.

This role will also allow you to flourish creatively, you will assist with the creation and delivery of marketing campaigns, and assist with the filming and editing of video content.

The Careers Service offer information, advice and guidance to more than 17,000 students, researchers and graduates and work with employers to connect them with our students and recent graduates.

About you

Ideally you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, and likely to have experience in an enquiries or customer service role
  • Experience of creating and editing both social media and video content
  • Extensive skills with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn new software skills rapidly
  • A positive attitude with colleagues and clients
  • An awareness of current issues in Higher Education and the possible issues faced by students would be an advantage

This is a full-time position (36.5 hours per week) and is fixed term for one year. The post is based at the Virgil Building in Bath city centre. We would like the new postholder to start as soon as possible after interview.
