Student Services is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, part-time Student Disability Support Co-ordinator to co-ordinate support for disabled students, ensuring all students have the opportunity to access and benefit from high-quality, student-centred services.

The role includes working with external recruitment agencies for support workers, maintaining clear and open lines of communication to ensure the provision of a consistently high-quality service to students, including acting as the first line of contact for student concerns.

You will also assist in the recruitment, training and supervision of student volunteers for our ‘Campus Buddy’ social mentoring scheme and other programmes run by the Disability Service. Contribution to activities focusing on supporting disabled students such as the Autism Social Group and the ‘Beginning at Bath’ induction and transition event is also a key part of the role.

You will be educated to first-degree level, with experience of selection, training, supervision and monitoring of staff, working in a service orientated environment and knowledge of disability and inclusion issues. You will have strong administration, organisation and interpersonal skills, and an ability to work within a small team to provide the best possible student experience.

Student Services comprises Counselling and Mental Health; Disability; Student Money Advice and Wellbeing services. The post holder will contribute to the development of the service whilst working closely with other Student Services teams, as well as staff from across the University and external stakeholders.
