We are looking for a pro-active and self-motivated administrator to join the Faculty of Engineering & Design Student Centre team as a Programmes Administrator.  You will play a key role in the team, working collaboratively with other team members and academic staff, to ensure the smooth and efficient administration and operation of our taught degree programmes. Your core responsibility will be assessment related processes in support of the student assessment lifecycle, including maintaining student records, supporting Director(s) of Studies and responding to student enquiries. You will also provide day-to-day administrative support for teaching, assessment and student data management activities.

You should have previous experience of working in a busy administrative role. Attention to detail is important, as is the ability to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities. You will need to work closely with other team members, academic colleagues and students from across the world, so effective communication skills are essential. You should have strong computer skills, with sound proficiency in Word and Excel and the confidence to learn the use of  web-based management information systems and various database systems. Experience in the use of University-specific software (Moodle, SAMIS/SITS and Business Objects) is desirable though not essential. Most important is an interest in our work and a willingness to become fully involved in the life of the Faculty and its departments

We care about student and staff wellbeing, delivering excellent service and University reputation. If this approach resonates with you and you are a good team player who also enjoys working independently and taking the initiative, we would welcome an application from you.

This is a full time, permanent post.
