The University of Bath is one of the UK’s leading universities. The Academic Registry is a key, central professional service. Our operational services and academic policy work contribute significantly to University life and to the development of learning and teaching. Learn more about the Academic Registry.

Registry Projects Officers will focus on academic policy, quality management, and Education Strategy-related activity. The roles also provide executive-level support to the department’s senior team.

Our ideal candidates will be critical thinkers with the ability to identify, analyse, and advise on an issue, and then take action on the chosen solution. You will recognise the priorities in your own independent work— and you’ll collaborate with the senior team towards strategic goals. You should be comfortable developing and using your expertise in our regulations and academic policies, and sharing this knowledge with colleagues across the University.

Registry Projects Officers must be excellent communicators who can write for, and speak to, varied audiences through different media. Much of your written work and analysis will enable decision-making in our University committees. You’ll also be an important contributor to online and other publications content. You will regularly consult with academic colleagues, senior administrators, and Students’ Union representatives to develop new ideas, then ensure our stakeholders have the guidance they need.

As a Registry Projects Officer you will make important contributions across the broad area of learning and teaching. Your professional development will be supported by our Academic Registry senior team. The role will suit those wishing to advance their careers in higher education administration, or for those with strong transferrable experience from other sectors.

If you’re looking for a new challenge with a supportive and hard-working team, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for two Registry Projects Officers to join our Academic Registry team.  This position is being offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis with an expected expiry date of 31 July 2019; and the other is being offered on a permanent basis and can be viewed here

Interviews will take place in week commencing 19 March 2018.

For an informal discussion about the roles, please contact Kate Norris, Head of Registry Services [; 01225 38 5690]. Applicants can apply for the permanent or the fixed term role or both.
