The Department of Education is a thriving and expanding department with an international reputation for teaching and for research that informs theory, policy and practice (

In the most recent phase of the department’s development we seek to make two appointments in international education: one Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) and one Lecturer (Assistant Professor). Those appointed will be active researchers who will make a significant contribution to research and teaching capacity focused on the Internationalisation and Globalisation of Education research cluster (

Their teaching will contribute principally to the part-time MA Education, full-time MA International Education and Globalisation, and full-time/part-time EdD and PhD programmes. Research relating to international schools and international curricula is one of the specialisms of the Department of Education, and many teachers from these contexts worldwide are enrolled as full-time or part-time students of these programmes. An interest in this form of international education would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Please make clear whether you are applying for the Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) or Lecturer (Assistant Professor) post. The post will take effect from 1 September 2018, or earlier.
