Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to work on a project with Dr George Stothart, at the Department of Psychology, University of Bath. The project involves the development of an electroencephalography (EEG) marker of episodic memory for use in the diagnosis of dementia. The approach will centre around the use of steady-state evoked potentials as objective markers of cognition, using a recently developed Psychopy/Matlab toolbox The role will involve extensive EEG data collection with healthy younger and older adult controls as well as Alzheimer’s disease patients.

Candidates must: have experience in cognitive neuroscience data collection and administering standardised cognitive tests and questionnaires; have knowledge of psychological testing and statistical analyses; have an undergraduate degree in psychology or neuroscience; be confident working with older adults and dementia patients. As this post requires working with vulnerable adults, the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS Check).

This is a full time post for one year, start date of 1st July 2018 until 30th June 2019.
