The University of Bath’s Office for the Arts organises programmes for both public and campus engagement. It is an important time for The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery as we develop an arts and science brand for public engagement purposes, whilst maintaining a supportive ecosystem for campus arts users.

Working to the instruction of the Building Manager, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the ticketing, invigilation, ushering and information providing aspects of venue life into a cohesive welcome experience for users and visitors.

From way finding to mediation the Visitor Services Co-ordinator will take a lead role in establishing an environment that interfaces effectively with user and audience needs, acting as the central and first point of contact and managing the Visitor Services Assistant, casual invigilation, duty management and ushering staff. Responsibilities will include the recruitment, scheduling, co-ordination and supervision of front of house staff alongside the design and delivery of a modern paperless ticket sales and checking service.

Alongside the Building Manager and Facilities Co-ordinator the role will ensure The Edge and Andrew Brownsword Gallery are fit for purpose as public facing spaces via a renowned welcome experience, working with programming colleagues to contribute positively to arts provision and research engagement objectives as well as with operational colleagues in hosting a wide variety of events.
