The University of Bath is a nationally and internationally leading University ranked in the top five of the Guardian University Guide and regularly takes its place in the top 10 of other major UK league tables.

The Department of Development & Alumni Relations (DDAR) is seeking to recruit a talented and motivated Events Assistant to join our friendly and fast-paced department.

You will have experience planning, promoting and managing a range of events for external audiences.  An understanding of running large and small events is essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The role will involve leading on our popular ‘Get Connected’ networking series, including sourcing and booking venues in Bath, London and elsewhere in the UK, recruiting and managing alumni volunteers and delivering the events.  A friendly, positive attitude, great attention to detail and ability to work on a range of projects at any one time are all absolutely essential.

The Events Assistant is also responsible for oversight of the alumni reunion programme, leading on promotion to anniversary year groups and the coordination of a number of events, often at the same time.

You will have experience promoting events, particularly online, and will have a strong understanding and fluency with multiple social media platforms.

You may be expected to attend events that take place in the evenings or during the weekends, both in Bath and elsewhere in the UK, for which time in lieu will be given.

Interviews are expected to take place on 10th March 2020.

If you would like an informal conversation about the post, please contact Cassie Long, Events Manager, on 01225 384976 or at cl2074@bath.ac.uk.
