This is a busy and varied role involving daily communication with academic staff, students and current/potential employers, so you will need to have excellent organisational skills, demonstrate a good use of initiative, have the ability to multi-task and prioritise, and be able to interpret and apply complex information (e.g. assessment regulations). You will need to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines on your own initiative, and to learn new systems and procedures rapidly.

It is essential that you have the interpersonal skills to engage with placement providers, students, academic staff and other stakeholders. You may also be required to undertake a number of School of Management duties.

You will form part of the School of Management’s Placements Team, ensuring that services are efficient, effective and adapt to changing circumstances. Taking responsibility for the smooth running of administration on all School undergraduate courses with a placement and/or a project.

Currently the PPI team has Placements and Projects on the following courses:

BSc Business (BB) – Placements and Projects

BSc Accounting and Finance (BAF)

BSc Management

BSc Management with Marketing

BSc International Management

This will involve circa 550 placements per academic year.

The post holder will support projects for the Head of Placements, Projects and International Studies and Placements Manager (line manager). You will work alongside three other Placements & Projects Administrators, improving efficiency of administrative procedures and managing a diverse workload.
